Hi Ron,

But I still don't really get why putting one's self into a "receptive state" (to have an ADC) via EMDR is dangerous, yet doing the same thing (getting into a receptive state) via, say, "mirror gazing" (Ray Moody's psychomanteum) or some other meditation-like process isn't?

Well, the fact is that I've changed my viewpoint. Bilateral stimulation such as that present in EMDR, is dangerous only if the facilitator pushes at the abuse or trauma that emerges. As it turns out, it's possible to simply shelve it and return to the focus on the afterlife connection.

In other words, I now feel that bilateral stimulation using eye movements, tapping, or audio can be used just for afterlife connections without danger to the person. So anyone can learn to facilitate it and anyone can learn to self-induce.

Love and peace, Craig
