Craig,I really appreciate your thoughtful and thorough responses to all of my thoughts and questions.
I'm in the Bloomington-Normal area.
Your comments about Greta are very interesting. So you just sense her around you?
I'll watch for your book.
Although I ate meat for many years and never thought much about it (and still haven't eliminated seafood), I now wonder if it's just one of those habits or traditions that is rather outdated and frankly seems rather barbaric when I really think about it. I'm glad to hear what you say about animals in the afterlife. Clergy members tend to respond differently. Some people say that they think animals are just here for our use in this life. That sounds so unbelievably selfish to me.
Do you think that prayer helps eliminate at least some of the suffering in the world?
What do you think about the "lake of fire" in Revelation?
As far as reconciliation, I really struggled in this life with a couple broken friendships and other relationships. I was hoping that you would say that all relationships would be restored in the next life. Perhaps I need to just let go and let God determine if those relationships should be reignited on the other side. As I remember, even Jesus said to treat others as you would tax collectors if they refuse to reconcile. However, Jesus hung out with tax collectors, didn't he?
Thanks again.
Bonnie
